We are excited to announce that popular ebooks are now easily available on any device with Overdrive and the reading app Libby.
With just your MyReynolds login, you can borrow from the digital collection for free by downloading Libby, the reading app from Overdrive, or visiting https://reynoldslibraries.overdrive.com/
Libby seamlessly connects first-time users and experienced readers with eBooks. This locally selected collection offers ebooks and audiobooks including bestsellers and new releases.
This service is compatible with all major computers and devices, iPhone, iPad, Android phones and tablets and Chromebook. Through Libby, readers can also “send to Kindle.” All titles will automatically expire at the end of the lending period and there are no late fees. Readers can also download titles onto Libby for offline use.

Borrow a title by logging in with your MyReynolds username and password
Step 3: Enjoy!
You can enjoy titles immediately online, download them for offline use, or send borrowed ebooks to a Kindle device. Loan period is for 14 – 21 days depending on your selection at checkout. Currently there is a max of two checkouts and you can place up to five holds. If there are no holds on an item, you will have the opportunity to renew the title three days before expiration.

Since 2007, JSRCC Library users have been able to check out and download OverDrive audio books to enjoy on a personal computer or MP3 player. The VCCS OverDrive download site is available 24/7 from anywhere in the world. Popular and classic downloadable books are offered in a variety of subjects, including mystery, romance, science fiction, business and careers, self-improvement, and more.
Now, VCCS Libraries offers even greater access to the OverDrive download service through a mobile device-optimized website coupled with software for downloading and listening on the go. A mobile version of the VCCS OverDrive download site is now available. This mobile version allows easy browsing, searching, and checkout from your Smartphone, Blackberry®, or other web-enabled device. Windows Mobile (5 or newer) users can wirelessly download audiobooks to their mobile device using OverDrive® Media Console for Windows Mobile. Android™ device owners can install a beta version of OverDrive Media Console to download OverDrive MP3 Audiobooks. To download audio books on your mobile device, you’ll also need an Internet connection and a MyVCCS login.

Some quick information about the OverDrive audiobook collection:
- Check outs and holds are made using a valid MyVCCS login, not a library card.
- You may have a maximum of 2 titles checked out from the Digital Library at any one time.
- Downloaded titles are checked out for 14 days and are automatically returned to the library.
- Our Virginia Community College Libraries collection does not currently offer movies or music downloads.
- Audiobooks can be downloaded on your home computer, a compatible portable device, and many titles can also be burned to a CD.
