Three Paths to Integrating Information Literacy into Your Curriculum

Are you concerned that your students lack important or basic research skills? Let the librarians help you!  We’ve crafted three ways to assist you, whether you are teaching face-to-face, online or hybrid courses.

  1. If you are teaching a face-to-face course, request a customized library instruction session to invite a librarian to teach the research skills to your students.
  2. If you are teaching a hybrid or distance learning class, consider deploying our online library research tutorials into your Bb course site.  Data results from previous experiments indicated that the tutorials had a significant impact on student learning.  Check with Denise Woetzel (, 804-523-5325) if you want to learn more about this online integration.
  3. Encourage your students to sign up for the workshops that are offered at three campus libraries.
