Around the World Through Books kicks off on Wednesday, October 6 at Parham Campus, Massey Library Technology Center from 7-8:30  P.M.

“…Carnivores eat meat; herbivores eat plants and vegetables; verbivores devour words. If you are heels over head (as well as head over heels) in love with words, tarry here a while to graze or, perhaps, feast on the English language. Ours is the only language in which you drive in a parkway and park in a driveway and your nose can run and your feet can smell.”

Quote from Dr. Richard Lederer on his website, Dr. Richard Lederer’s Verbivore.

“A Day with Richard Lederer” on October 6 at the Parham Campus of  J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College includes a book discussion  focusing on Dr. Lederer’s book, Word Wizard: Super Bloopers, Rich Reflections, and Other Acts of Word Magic from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Lipman Auditorium on Parham Campus. Refreshments and a book signing will follow the event, which is sponsored by the Book Committee of the Multicultural Enrichment Council and the Office of Student Life.
