Now that the Writers’ Strike is over, the annual Academy Awards ceremony will carry on as usual this Sunday, February 24th. For film buffs, check out Encyclopaedia Britannica’s All about Oscar spotlight. It includes a history and photo gallery of past winners as well as links to film web sites.
You don’t have to go to Hollywood to attend a red carpet premiere. Tom Hanks was at the Byrd Theatre this past Sunday, March 16th to promote his HBO miniseries, John Adams. Also attending the premiere was Paul Giamatti. Here is a PowerPoint slideshow of the premiere:
